As children of God, we now know that our confidence isn’t about trying to make sure we look good in front of other people or portray a sense of self-assurance in a way that makes it seem like we have it all together.
The confidence we have in the Lord is deeper than that. Our confidence is not in what we are able to do in our lives, but what God is able to do in our lives through Jesus Christ.
Remember this truth when it comes to your next job interview. Remember this when you’ve finally met a guy who loves the Lord and has shown an interest in you. Remember this when you’re not sure how to show love to that family member that is hurting. Remember that, yes, as a child of God, you do have to do your part, but what’s most importantly is what God is going to do in you through your relationship with Jesus Christ.
Let your confidence be rooted in Him, and watch how that changes the way you see yourself, those around you, and the life you live for Him.
