The dictionary describes confidence as being sure and having full assurance about one’s ability.
I like to call my confidence in Him God-fidence:
Because God is sovereign and supremely powerful, He wants us to have full confidence in Him and His ability to perform in our lives.
Our God spoke the world into existence. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever more and He is our father. So why not trust in His abilities?
Have confidence in God with all your might. There is no reason to doubt. Doubt is like an ailment; if left untreated it will flourish into a disease of disbelief. God desires your confidence in Him fully. However, when you are faced with doubt, there is great news: Doubt is treatable. Here are ways to treat doubt and remain confident in God:
1. Read the Word of God and pray everyday. When you are in doubt or lack confidence in God, go before the Lord in prayer and ask Him to help your unbelief.
2. Have faith. Stretch your faith! God has so many promises in His Word concerning your life. It doesn’t take much faith to please God. The Bible speaks of faith of a mustard seed. The mustard seed is so small, but small faith activates larger faith. Faith grows. You simply have to be confident of what God says about you and your life. Keep the faith. As you exert confidence in God and become stronger spiritually, insecurities will disappear and you will be the woman God has called you to be. Remain confident and you will see the goodness of the Lord!
