Waiting is so important.
I know waiting is a term that the world hates because we want everything instantly, but sometimes when we get things instantly we are settling for second best.
Think about microwaveable mac and cheese versus homemade mac and cheese. Yes they are technically the same thing but one is faster and can be consumed in minutes and the other requires waiting longer to have something that is much better.
Isn’t that kind of what waiting for a godly man is like?
Yes, you could have this super cute, super nice guy and you could be “happy’ and live a “good life” or you could wait for a godly man and walk in happiness and holiness and live a good and godly life!
Here are three little bits of encouragement as to why it is worth waiting:
1. You gain strength
God grants you strength in waiting. When waiting gets tough just lean into the Lord and He will strengthen you!
2. You can wait without worry!
When you are fully trusting in God, you don’t have to worry about whether or not He will come through for you. You know His word is true so when you find yourself worrying about who, when, where and how you are going to meet this godly man, you are able to go to God in prayer and trust in Him to show up for you in due time!
3. You can be confident in your decisions
There will always be someone ‘better’ out there. There will always be someone one funnier, smarter, nicer, and better looking. But when you wait on the Lord to bring the right person into your life you can be confident in that decision. You can be confident that you didn’t settle for second best but rather for God’s personal best for your life!
