Each of us is battling with something. It may be health; it may be relationship related, finances, school. Whatever it is, that battle doesn’t belong to us. It belongs to the Lord and we have to act like it. We have to put on the armour of God and the arm of self, because that will only take us so far.
When we are faced with challenges, we easily forget who we are in Christ Jesus, we forget we were created with a purpose, we forget that whatever happens to us happens for a reason, we forget that God loves us too much to want us to suffer and most importantly our lives are to reflect His glory. In John 9:1-3, the disciples of Jesus asked him why a man was born blind, if he sinned or his parents, Jesus told them, none of them sinned, but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
Your life isn’t yours, you have been bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:20), if God can send His son to die for our sins, then what can’t He give us? Just as He reminded us that if our parents who are evil can give us good gifts, what would He our righteous father not give us if we ask? (Matthew 7:11) But He wants us to grow loving and trusting Him every day of our lives regardless of whatever it is we are going through (Psalm 46:10)
Until we know and believe that our success is more important to God than we can imagine, we would keep carrying burdens that Jesus Christ has already carried for us (Matthew 11: 28-30). All God wants us to do is to trust Him, even when the deadline to that challenge we have been praying for comes. Trust that He knows better.
Since I started trusting God that way, I have noticed peace and sudden calmness even when I don’t understand why certain things happen. God is our Father and He loves us so much. All things work together for good to them that love God.
