Daily Reading :
Philippians 4:13, 1 Peter 4:10-14
When you say “yes” to God, know that God is all about calling His children out of their comfort zone. Keep your eyes open for daily opportunities to serve Him. Don’t overlook loving a co-worker just because they’re being difficult. Don’t keep putting off that book God has put on your heart to write because you’re so afraid it’s not going to be right. God does amazing things when we step out of our comfort zones for Him. God has given us special and unique gifts that are intentional on serving others and honoring Him. You were not created by mistake. God instrumentally designed you with and for a purpose.
When God pulls us out of our comfort zone, it will be uncomfortable. It is new, fresh, and uncharted territory for us. But not for God! God has already walked our paths and He is with us every step of the way. Along your path you will come across some family and friends that think you’re crazy for going back to school, going on a missions trip, starting a new business, moving out of state, etc. However in these moments we have a choice to lean into God and to call on Him to calm the worry in our hearts. When God places a goal in your heart to accomplish, He most certainly will fulfill it. At times you may think, why me? Allowing self-doubt to settle in.
The real question is, why NOT you? No we aren’t perfect, but through our imperfections, Jesus can do His great work! So, yes you can do it! He will give us the words to write that book or to talk to that difficult coworker. God knows that we don’t have it all together and to be honest, we never will. He loves us despite our faults and shortcomings and He pursues us with everything He has. God has graced us to endure the tests that come our way and everything will work out. God is preparing you for something great, so stay obedient to His Word.
