How many of us have had people say to us “have faith and be patient”? Have you ever felt like you’ve been giving your all and trusting in the Lord and then you’re still having to wait for weeks or months or years? Even though we don’t always know why we have to wait we can know this: just because we have to wait that doesn’t mean that we have to wait around. The waiting period is a beautiful period! Yes, it can seem like you’re stuck, behind in life, or like you should be involved in more.
During the waiting period God is using this time to prune you, to mold your heart to be more like His, and to encourage your spirit. It may seem like God isn’t going to reveal amazing things to us and provide for us. It means that God is preparing you for a future. There are things He needs you to accomplish now in order for you to have more responsibility later. Trust me, it’s so easy to stop serving Him wholeheartedly because we’re tired of waiting. But God wants us to give our all at all times.
To serve Him and to make the most of every opportunity even when we’re waiting. We must learn how to be content in all seasons of life. God sometimes will take us to a place in which we have nothing, to encourage our faith and belief in Him. Step out on faith, wait, be patient, obey, worship, and love! Have no fear of the future. You are in the very good hands of the Almighty God!
