1 Corinthians 6:20
As women we are created with a strong desire to be loved, but what we need to understand is that our worth and our identity is not in the diamond ring he just bought from Jared on his way to dinner. Our worth is not in the Tiffany necklace or the pricey restaurant, or even in the words he used to win that precious heart of yours.
Our worth comes from knowing that we were bought with a price, Christ’s blood shed on Calvary. 1 Corinthians 6:20 reminds us of this:
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Our worth comes from knowing that at the end of the day even if we didn’t get that callback from the interview, or whatever the situation is, Jesus Christ will never change; even though we do. Jesus Christ will never stop loving us. Even through our prodigal daughter days.
So if you are discouraged or hurting, please remember where your worth comes from, remember whom created you, and know that He never goes one second without thinking about you, and you can do all things through Him who gives you strength.
