You do not become more valuable the moment you’re finally graduating from college. You are not suddenly worth more as a woman when your business idea finally starts to make a little money. Your life does not become more meaningful the moment you enter a relationship.
Your confidence should come from your relationship with Jesus Christ. The more you begin to embrace this, the more you will begin to realize that as great as it might feel when it seems like your love life is finally going somewhere or you finally get a job that pays well, that what Jesus offers is so much greater. Suddenly, the work that you do is no longer about who you’re going to impress with your accomplishments or how much your net worth has increased, because now, your focus is Christ and doing His work.
There is no fulfillment on this earth like what we find in Christ, so imagine living a life that is truly centered on bringing Him glory! Imagine going to work and instead of being stressed out by the time you’re clocking out, you’re still thinking about how God used you to minister to a coworker or a client. Imagine getting into a Godly, intentional relationship and being more excited about the Kingdom work you all can do as a married couple more than you worry about what kind of wedding you’re going to have! Let God’s grace guide you toward this kind of confidence in your life, because it is possible and it is rewarding. You don’t have to spend your life worrying about how you’re perceived by others or if you’re going to have time to accomplish everything you need to in order to be considered successful in your career. Keep on living your life for Jesus, and let your relationship with Him prepare you for whatever it is God has for you to do!
