Have you ever started the day feeling super confident, then all of sudden, you weren’t anymore? This is weariness. Sometimes we set out to feel good about ourselves or what we’re going to be doing that day, then something takes a wrong turn. Today I want to encourage you that in Christ, even in those moments, you can still be confident that everyday can be a great day because you know that in Him, there is so much more ahead. So don’t give up! Even when it comes to opportunities you’ve missed or people that have passed you by.
Don’t lose faith because of the person that told you “no.” That person might be the head of the company you’ve always wanted to work for or the one guy you were certain that you were in love with, but whoever it is, they are not the one writing your future! God is!
Your future belongs to Him, so be confident in seeking Him, knowing that He is preparing the harvest, not other people.
So often times when we get denied or rejected, we start thinking, “well, maybe I should’ve acted differently in my interview” or “maybe I should’ve majored in something different in college” or “maybe he would have liked me a little bit more if I dressed a little different.”
It’s natural to want to improve in life, but as followers of Christ, we can’t let everything we do be based on what comes natural to us, when there is the supernatural power of the Lord! He is not going to deny anything of you that was meant for you, so don’t let the things you didn’t get cause you to lose your confidence. When your confidence is rooted and grounded in your relationship in Christ, you are embraced by the blessed assurance that even when earthly opportunities pass you by, what God has in store for you and your future has not changed.
So don’t grow weary in your well doing. Keep doing what you do for the Lord and let Him be the One who rewards you.
