Giving up is not the answer. Giving it the Lord is.
The reason why this is so important to hold onto is because sometimes you try so hard to fix something broken in your life and after so many attempts you just ask yourself, “What’s the use?” “Why do I even try?” “Why do I keep pursuing these dreams if nothing ever comes out of it?”
Sometimes, it seems like no one would even care if you gave up. It seems like the world would just keep moving on if you just gave in and fading away. As a result, you might find yourself sitting in the dark trying to adjust your eyes to the darkness, instead of going to The Lord and asking Him turn on the light.
My dear sister, it’s time to give up the darkness. It’s time to turn away from the doubts and insecurities that have left you thinking that you’ll never reach those goals and you’ll never do anything meaningful. Why? Because when God is on your side, giving up is not the answer. Cast your cares on Him instead.
You may be in a situation where it seems that no one really “gets” you, no one understand what you’ve experienced, and no one cares enough to help. But even if that’s how everyone else in your life acts, God is not like that. The God you serve, the God you worship, the God who loves you and sent His son Jesus to die for doesn’t want you holding on to the darkness in your life. Give it up and run with all you’ve got toward the light. Give it up. Give it to Him. “He will never let the righteous be shaken.”
Your sister in Christ,
