As women who follow Christ, it’s important for us to know who we are in this life that we live for the Lord, but also, where we are.
In today’s passage, David knew where he was: in the darkest valley. If you take the time to dig into David’s story, you’ll find that while He was a man after God’s own heart, He went through some serious trials as well. He wasn’t always on the mountain top. He often found Himself in the valley, too. However, he knew that even though the valley was where he was, he was also with his Heavenly Father, because He was always with Him.
So whether you’re in a good place or you’re in the valley, know that no matter where you are, God is with you. He is with you on the days where you feel the most confident and He’s with you on the days where you’re not sure at all. So remember this when you:
- Don’t feel like you’ll ever meet your future husband because you never seem to be what guys are looking for.
- Are never going to find a job that sees your worth and is willing to compensate you for it.
- Have no idea what you’re supposed to be when it comes to either your professional life or your personal life.
No matter what season you’re in right now (even if you’re in a really good season) let your confidence rest in this: God is with me all the time, and through Christ, I can go to Him about absolutely anything. Let this be the source of your confidence!
