When it comes to thriving and flourishing in your life, don’t ever sit around and wait for life to happen. Through Jesus Christ, you have an opportunity to get up, get out of the house, get of your comfort zone and out into the world to serve Him. In the same way that Christ came to serve and not to be served, we must be willing to do the same. When we’re frustrated that so many of the people in our lives are getting in and out of relationships without knowing their worth, we can’t just complain about it, hoping they’ll see someday. We must encourage them with biblical truth and set an example in the way we approach relationships. When people at our jobs are being dishonest with the boss or don’t have positive attitudes when they enter the work place, let us continue to show love as Christ loved us. Let us not only speak up, but let’s go out of our way to gracefully and truthfully encourage them to see the light.
We live for the cause of Christ and therefore, there is no need to simply go through the day, the week or your life just trying to get by. The way we choose to respond to the people that offend us, the way we choose to react when something goes wrong and the way we make decisions based on our convictions must be centered on Christ’s example. Whether you’re working today, running errands or just sitting at home, it starts today. Don’t just sit around waiting for things to happen in your life. Focus, instead, on bringing light to this dark and lonely world!
