Trees do not grow overnight. Their roots are strong because they are planted and, eventually over time, they grow.
Don’t give yourself a hard time about what hasn’t happened yet. Don’t compare yourself to who just got married or who already started a business or who already achieved goals before you did.
Keep being faithful, for it’s the faithful that will be richly blessed. Not just the people with money or charm or great connections, but the faithful.
So don’t get discouraged when it seems like the overnight successes of others are everywhere you turn. Don’t feel like you won’t get anywhere until you’re like the girl with the perfect body and one hundred thousand followers on social media. You are not called to be like her. You are called to be like Christ! You are called to be faithful to the things of God, growing everyday, getting closer and closer to Him and what He has planned for you!
Even though it may seem like all of your friends are getting married and having babies and you’re only the one still waiting, don’t stop being faithful. If you happen to be surrounded by friends who are in healthy relationships and in healthy places in their lives, be sure to celebrate them, but don’t envy them. God has called you to thrive in your faithfulness to Him before you thrive anywhere else.
