Have you ever had to switch schools, move states, or try in fit into a new group? You may find that a lot of times frustration, sadness, and feelings of dejection set in when you’re constantly worrying about fitting in with certain cliques. You may even feel like your unique quirks and seemingly different personality are what’s “holding you back” from fitting into the right group of friends. In this world full of confusion and misplaced identity, it can be challenging to remember that you only need to identify yourself as a child of God. Life is not about what earthly possessions you have, but what eternal treasure you hold in your heart and in heaven. Jesus isn’t concerned about whether or not you “fit in” to this world. He’s set you apart and given you the grace to freely receive and give love to everyone. And while having a friend group and being known can be and feel great, that shouldn’t be on the top list of your priorities. The Lord will bring the right people into your life to encourage and do life with you! Trust His timing and keep your heart steadfast on Him. Remember, He’s known you since even before He formed you in your mother’s womb.
