Abraham’s obedience to God shined brightly through the years, leaving a mark on generations to come.
Can the same be said about your obedience to God? Are you willing to go out when God calls you, even though you don’t know where He is going to lead you?
God wants you to put your faith in Him, saying “yes” to the call. This doesn’t mean you have to sit around and wait for an opportunity to travel to an unknown land. And, no. It does not mean you have to wait for your financial or living situation to change in order to do God’s work. You can start today.
Even though you might go to the same job everyday or spend time around the same people all the time, you still have the opportunity everyday to step out on faith and answer the call. As a follower of Christ, you are called to love and today might be the day you finally show compassion toward that coworker who doesn’t exactly have the best attitude. Today might be the day you visit your friend who is going through a hard time, and perhaps you’ll even pray with her. You might not know the outcome of these situations, but that’s the beauty of it all: Because of Christ, you don’t have to know everything. Following Him isn’t about knowing it all, it’s about being obedient and stepping out on faith, knowing that He will always take care of you.
