Be strong in the Lord when it comes to the way you think about the future. Don’t get so caught up in fear of what might never be. Don’t allow yourself to constantly worry about what you might be faced with in the future. If God was strong enough to carry you through every past trial or life experience, then surely, He will carry you through today and tomorrow. He is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. Continue to be strong in Him.
Often when we think of the future we see a lot of uncertainty. While some people look forward to it, others cringe at the thought. We often like to have all our ducks in a row and ready for the storms of life. What happens when we thought we did all that we could do and it still isn’t enough? When the school we thought we would attend declines us, the job we thought was a career let us go, or the guy we thought was our husband ends the relationship suddenly? We fall apart and forget to fall in Jesus’ arms. We worry and complain to God instead of trusting and resting in Him.
God is saying rest in Him!
Give God your burdens to carry, take upon His yoke. It’s much easier to carry. Laden means heavily loaded or weighed down. That’s exactly what worrying does to us; It weighs us down, sometimes to the point when we don’t want to get out of bed or even live. We so often put our trust in people or things. When truthful people are fallible, we make many mistakes and don’t always come through. God is always the same when He says it. He will come through every time. Reflect on the times where God has come through. Write a list so you will never forget. I encourage you to listen to “On The Throne” by Desperation Band.
