Today it might seem like you feel pressure to be accommodating, understanding, tolerable, and even non-judgmental. There can be those times in your life when you get into a friendship and then it suddenly takes a turn. Maybe that friend or group of friends has become an outlet for you. Maybe it has helped you come out of your shell. Brought you hours of laughter. All so refreshing. All what you seem to have needed.
Then you take a closer look.
That outlet has actually been pulling you away from some other strong influences. Pulling you away from some healthy routines. That shell that you seemed to have been in did feel great to get out of but maybe you noticed it leading you to places or music or environments you normally wouldn’t have ventured into. If the laughter you now enjoy so frequently comes from unhealthy sources or topics, it might be time to make a change.
Your Father in heaven loves all the things good friendships can add to our lives. Take some time this month and reevaluate the friendships you are a part of. Find ones that add and multiply not divide and subtract.
