Whether you’re working in an ideal career or you’re still trying to figure out what you want to do with your life, you should always be aiming to be the best you can be. However, being your best doesn’t mean being perfect or even trying to be. Being your best and truly thriving when you go to work or school comes by knowing that power comes from who you are in Christ!
Remember this when:
-You’re dealing with challenges with your coworkers or classmates
-You’re always exhausted but your job pays the bills so you have to keep working there
-You’re qualified but you’re unemployed and you can’t figure out what’s wrong
-It seems like everyone you work with or go to school with is doing better than you even though you know you shouldn’t compare yourself to them
-Your friends or family members are pressuring you to make certain educational or career choices and you’re struggling with what you should do
Wherever you are right now, today is not the day to spend all of your time trying to be the perfect employee or candidate or college student. Today is the day to realize that no matter how much is on your plate right now, it is Christ Jesus that makes you strong. It is your relationship with Him that’s going to sustain you when the pressure is on at work or when you’re too busy with school. If you truly want to thrive, don’t focus on being perfect, focus on the One who is giving you life—Jesus Christ!
