When it comes to the desire to be in a relationship & your discouraged, Ruth is a powerful reminder! You are here to be so much more than just someone’s girlfriend or wife. Those are roles in life we all want to have a chance at. Your life has a purpose that God created just for you to fulfill! One of the greatest reasons for singleness is to thrive in who you were created to be!
Your singleness could be a season designed for you to
– Serve God
– Be molded into the amazing woman you were created to be
– Stretch your faith & fully trust him. So when those tough times in relationships and marriage come about your faith in God will help conquer those challenges.
– Get prepared
– Build and embark on your dreams and goals. The beginning of building your dreams can demand a lot of your time & energy. The last thing you want is for your spouse to feel neglected. Moreover, you don’t want to jump into a relationship because you don’t want to be alone & end up losing sight of your own dreams & goals.
– Become whole within! This is most important. Learning to be content with yourself is a trait that will allow you to love someone past how they make you feel. Allowing yourself the time to be filled with God’s love will cast out crippling fears and help you love others deeper and more intentional!
Ruth was not in the ideal situation, but she made the best of it. She worked with what God gave her in the place he put her. Instead of spending time thinking and waiting for something to happen, Ruth took initiative. This let God know how important her need was & how she was willing to work for it. Ruth was focused on what God had her there to do & God provided for her! He provided better than she imagined!
Focus on the purpose he has you to fulfill because God already has the man for you chosen. There are just some things that he needs you to do first. Don’t delay what you desire, take that first step!
