When it’s the right relationship, you won’t have to spend hours with friends going over every interaction you’ve had with him, wondering if he’s actually interested in a relationship.
When it’s the right relationship, you won’t have to spend hours with friends going over every interaction you’ve had with him, wondering if he’s actually interested in a relationship. You won’t have to keep reading those texts over and over wondering if this is the start of love or not. Keep trusting God and who He sends your way. It’s far better than what you can find on your own.
The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. – Proverbs 16:9
Even when you meet a really nice guy or you’re in a really good place in your relationship, that doesn’t mean that God is finished writing your love story. No matter how texts are going back and forth, and no matter how many times you have your ups and downs, remain in constant prayer that whatever God has in store for that relationship will take priority.
This important because you might be wondering if the guy you’re talking to is “the one” for you. The only way to truly know if the guy you’re talking to is “the one,” is to be in constant communication with God–the ultimate One about every aspect of your relationship. When you spend time with the Lord, He will reveal things to you! Also, surround yourself with like-minded friends who aren’t just about deciphering what a guy’s text message or most recent Snapchat story is about. Surround yourself with friends who will be in prayer with you about the status of your relationship. Just like you spend time getting to know a guy by talking to him, you have to do this even more when it comes to the things of God. Instead of just talking with your friends about a guy and every little thing he says or does, ask your friends to join you in prayer!
There’s nothing wrong with talking with your friends about what’s going on in your life, but merely going back and forth about who-said-what and who-did-this isn’t where you’re going to find peace about what you’re going through right now. The way you find peace is by always going to the Lord about anything you’re wondering or worrying about…even when it comes to relationships.
