The bible tells us in many places to not conform to the pattern of this world as well as this world is not our home. We are not supposed to fit in; instead, we are supposed to stand out. This, of course, is easier said than done, but remember Jesus came and lived on the same earth we do, lived a perfect life, and died for our sins.
This is a reminder that with God all things are possible. We are meant to stand out and to be different, not to fit in and be a part of the crowd. In Romans, it tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. This is talking about a continual process of change from the inside out.
God wants us to grow in Him and not just stay where we are. Once we have accepted Christ, we are meant to let Him transform us. This means we are not meant to be like others. Instead, we are meant to look less like them and more like Christ every day.
So sisters, remember God made you to stand out, to be different, and to not blend in with others. When you feel different from others this means you are doing something right, and God is transforming your life. Stand out and be different – for you are God’s.
Your Sister in Christ,
